EM3 have been working in industrial energy efficiency since 2006. Since then we have been continuously growing and expanding, and this wouldn’t be possible without the smart and committed individuals who make up our team. We truly believe in investing in our team, particularly the younger generation. For this reason, we actively hire graduates from an array of universities and institutes around the country. This year alone 8 new graduates have joined our team from MTU, UCC, LIT and NUIG. We are committed to investing in a younger workforce to allow us to tackle real and important climate and environmental issues around the world.
Meet the next generation of EM3 below.
Brónagh McGrath
Brónagh studied for 5 years in MTU (or CIT). She completed a level 7 in Environmental Engineering in 2019 and then went on to complete a level 8 in Sustainable Energy Engineering in 2021. Brónagh was lucky enough to complete her 3rd year work placement in EM3 in 2020. She is now working in EM3 as a graduate energy engineer. She said she is looking forward to working in EM3 and continuing to develop her skills as an engineer and learning from her colleagues. Working in EM3 allows Brónagh to make a real impact on the environment by working with clients to reduce carbon and improve energy efficiency.

Aaron Mansfield
Aaron has completed a BEng (Hons) in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Munster Technological University in Cork. He has obtained a First-Class Honours for his work on his Final Year Project which focused on studying the energy efficiency improvement as a result of retrofitting a heat pump into an electric vehicle. Since starting with EM3 in June, Aaron has worked on; Energy Management services through delivering weekly energy reports for clients in the US, Energy Audits and Renewable Feasibility studies for international sites. Aaron has a passion for helping clients reduce their impact on climate change and helping them meet their sustainability goals.
Dan Griffin
Dan is a graduate from University College Cork who completed a master’s degree in Process & Chemical Engineering in May 2021. He gained experience as an intern process engineer in a site environment in Pfizer Ringaskiddy in 2020 and also in the Rockwell Automation design office in 2019. Dan completed his master’s thesis in conjunction with Pfizer and was tasked with developing an energy reduction dashboard for implementation into their Distributed Control System (DCS). He is enthusiastic about sustainability and smart energy management systems, and he hopes to foster this interest further by being part of the EM3 team.

Dean O’ Sullivan
Dean started with EM3 in 2019 as a student and has been working on a part-time basis since. He recently graduated with a Masters degree in Process and Chemical Engineering from UCC and has now joined EM3 full time. He completed his thesis in conjunction with EM3 on the impact of non-condensable gases on the energy profile of falling-film evaporators.
Padraig Dillane
Padraig recently graduated from Mechanical Engineering in MTU after 4 Years. He is looking forward to learning about how industries all over the world carry out amazing tasks and implementing an energy efficient engineering approach to make major energy users as efficient as possible.

Magda Gaska
Madga is studying at MTU and currently completing her honours bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Energy Engineering. She previously completed her work placement at EM3, in the summer of 2020 and is delighted to be back working with the company full-time. Magda feels that EM3 provides a supportive environment to broaden her understanding of energy systems by offering real-life applications of her degree, along with many other personal development challenges. Working at this company has allowed Magda to become a part of the greater impact on not only Irish, but global energy use.
Eoin Walker
Eoin has recently graduated with a first class honours Bachelor of Energy Systems Engineering from NUIG. They have a passion for sustainability and renewable energy. They have previous experience in both large (ESB) and small (Ollie McPhillips Ltd) companies, and are eager to expand their industry work portfolio. They are a highly motivated and hard-working individual, holding themselves to the highest moral and ethical standards.

Orna Rea
Orna studied Business Marketing and Management in Limerick Institute of Technology (now known as TUS, Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest) and graduated with a first class honours.
